Well built and modern looking All in One, December 4, 2011 By Saab 93 "Saab 93" (LA, CA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sony L Series VPCL234FX/B 24-Inch TouchScreen Desktop (Black) (Personal Computers) This SONY all in one desktop is well built with a modern design, all though majorities of the exterior was made by plastic, but you can feel the solid quality once you lay your hands on it. Unlike other cheap looking all in ones like De**, or H*, this Sony's build quality is beyond my expectation at this price range.
One thing I like to point out is: which running graphic intense application, with the fan running at full speed, I'm impressed how quite this unit maintain.
Performance wise, at this price range, since most of these all in one has similar specs and are based on mobile CPU, you can't expect super fast speed from them. But I find this unit perfect in everyday use as a 2nd pc.

GREAT PRODUCT BUT VERY POOR SERVICE FROM SONY, March 11, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sony L Series VPCL234FX/W 24-Inch TouchScreen Desktop (White) (Personal Computers) Product was delivered way ahead of promised delivery date. Once I got it and set it up around Dec/28/2011 it worked fine for about a month until windows stopped working. Then the nightmare began after I called Sony .......the first time I called the operator wanted me to pay to get connected for trouble shooting. I hung up and called back about a week later and spoke to someone who understood that my product was under Sony's warranty.
Sony tried to restart windows, but never was able to. A part was shipped out to a local technician who came and replaced the part and left me with a set of restore disks for me to call Sony. I did and Sony struggled with me via phone to run the restore process, but got nowhere, and promised to send me an overnite shipping box for me to send the product to their Texas repair facility. For days and may even be close to 2weeks I called back to check on the status of the box delivery, and was told nothing got out and at that point one was sent out... Read more

When I received our coumputer, the touch screen function would not operate. After contacting Sony tech support, it was diagnosed as a hardwarw/software problem. I sent a request for a replacement unit through Amazon on Tuesday @ 9pm, UPS picked up the unit the next day and a replacent unit arrived 2 days later!! Kudos to Amazon for such great service!
I was amazed at the build quality of this unit. It was well packaged and was up and running in 15 minutes! The first thing I noticed is that this unit starts up and shuts down is seconds, not minutes like our old laptop. Even will running multiple programs, this unit is fast, very quiet and does not generate a substantial amount of heat like most laptops. The touch screen works flawlessly and is used frequently by my teenage children.
Overall, the best computer we've owned. Would higly recommend this computer!
