WARNING - Incorrect Specs, November 8, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Asus VE248Q 24-Inch LED Monitor (Personal Computers) I'm not sure why the other reviews didn't mention this, (I don't know if the model changed or not), but be warned this monitor does not have the specs listed; this monitor does not have a DVI port, it uses a DVI - HDMI cable. This is not just a smaller version of the VE258Q. I believe this to be a fairly new monitor as I didn't see it on the Asus website when I originally purchased it (it's up there now).
The following is taken directly from the Asus website:
VE258Q: "Signal Input : HDMI , D-Sub, DisplayPort, DVI-D"
VE248Q: "Signal Input : HDMI 1.3, D-Sub, DisplayPort"
Amazon website:
"DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, VGA, and Built-in Speakers allow for simultaneous connections to more devices."
For comparison, here what Amazon says about the ML238H (which also uses a DVI-HDMI cable)
"HDMI 1.3, DVI-D (via HDMI-to-DVI cable), 15-Pin D-Sub"

No dead pixels, excellent color, September 3, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Asus VE248Q 24-Inch LED Monitor (Personal Computers) Passed all of the monitor tests, differentiating blacks against blacks and whites against whites, as well as the contrast test with the tightly packed white and black stripes. No dead pixels, and excellent color. Monitor is plenty big and the bezels are reasonably small. However the one I ordered did have a slightly loose hdmi cable, it was fine for hours then screen went black, had to hold the hdmi cable in for the video to show. I think I could have fixed it myself but didnt want to void warranty, anyway Amazon is excellent with replacements, pays for the shipping back and also sends out a replacement before you even send your broken one back. I'm down for the weekend, which sucks because it's also labor day weekend right now, but Having a replacement as soon as tuesday is still impressive.
Anyway, even though I had a mis-hap, I'd still strongly reccomend this monitor, makes my macbook pro monitor look dull in comparison.

I have a 3 monitor array with an H and M of the same model, but the Q has a DP adapter and it stands out from the array.
