Didn't Work for me, November 23, 2011 By jj "JJ" (NJ) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: IOGEAR Wireless 1080p Computer to HDTV Kit, 1 HDMI Output GUWVKIT3 (Black) (Personal Computers) My Laptop Acer 5100 (AMD Turion(tm)64 X2 Mobile Tech TL-52 Processor,3.00 GB of RAM) maximum video output by the video card is only 1280 x 768 so I was not able to use this adapter full HD Capacity.I don't have a HDMI output for my computer thats why I brought this.The video is lagging , freeze or slow while playing plus sound also break up sometimes.Its is ok if I play a youtube video in small window, the problem happens when I enlarge it into a big window.I placed the adapters within few feet apart but no improvement in quality and occasionally my computer also freeze up.I returned the item back to Amazon.

Now how cool would it be to play those on the big screen, from the comfort of the couch? Super freaking cool.
Sadly, the iogear wireless kit will not get you any closer to the dream.
Here is the tale of my installation and eventual return. Best of luck if you buy one anyway. I'm now looking into different hardware.
My systems: PC, older dell XP machine, and new samsung about 12 feet away. Setup was easy, plug in one box by the tv, hookup power and hdmi, and run a cd install on the pc, twist the usb upright and plug in. The usb is a little awkward in a pc, since it will probably overlap other slots, and doesn't reach ports inset by any margin. It seems designed for laptop use.
