I upgraded from a GT220 (80$). This is the first higher end card I have owned. Needless to say, I am very impressed and now, a little bit ruined. This card pumps out the frames. All games can be "maxed out" and you still get performance: even at higher resolutions. I do admit that ATI HD cards will scale a little better with higher resolutions (a few more frames per second) and I have owned ATI hardware before. But, this card has been compared to several higher-priced cards that are not in it's reference performance bracket. This is just a remarkable deal. Later on down the road, when I rebuild my PC, I will purchase another (the price will probably drop by then) and I will SLI them. The Free Performance Boost is really why I bought the card. It is a little overclocked from the factory. I do not want to push my card any harder than I need to for 2 extra frames. I want this thing to LAST.

A few things to note: You will need a decent power supply. This pulls ~170w under load... Read more

I bought the EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti to replace my son's EVGA GeForce 8800 series card and the install was a breeze, since the only differnce is I had to plug in two 6 pin connectors vs one for the 8800. I turned the computer back on expecting to hear the fan roar like the 8800, but the 560 Ti didn't make a sound and for a moment I thought it wasn't working. I installed the driver software and the system copied the previous resolution settings and it was good to go. I am blown away at how quiet this 560 ti runs and even though this card is 3 years ahead of the 8800 card, it doesn't seem to suck that much more power (amps) then the older card. (at least it seems like that because it runs so cool and quiet). My son can easily max the graphic settings on every game without sacrificing the performance, but he hasn't tried Dragon Age II yet, but there is no doubt that this card will never fail to impress. For the price and performance, I would highly recommend the GeForce GTX 560 Ti... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars This card is a beast., December 21, 2011

After carefully researching, and even being enticed by other cards on sale, I safely landed on this card. It's not the least expensive, but you really get what you pay for. First off, its an EVGA. It's a top quality piece. 3 copper heat pipes (unlike some competitors 2 nickel plated pipes), and true 4 phase GPU power (instead of 3+1) means this has unparalleled performance and overclock capabilities. I have mine overclocked to 965 mhz stable on stock voltage, and it never gets above 60c at 100% load when benchmarking... Runs around 40c while gaming. If you plan on going SLI, this card is a great choice. The reference style cooler exhausts a significant amount of hot air outside the case, instead of back in the case (like Frozr II style cards). Add in a lifetime warranty, incredible customer service, and the option to "step up" within 90 days if you decide you want a more powerful card, and you have a clear winner.

As far as the lifetime warranty, they really do stand by it... Read more
